I received Michael’s email a few weeks before his visit to Venice. Michael’s idea was to organize a surprise photo shoot for his partner Hanh in her seventh month of pregnancy. A couple photo shoot has thus turned into a maternity photo shoot. When it comes to organizing a surprise photo shoot, as in this case, nothing should be left to chance. I decided to shoot in the afternoon to make the most of the warm and romantic evening light. I chose Dorsoduro and its customs point as the location because it is the point from which to best appreciate the view of the city, especially Punta della Dogana. Among the different packages that I had proposed to Michael we opted for a photo shoot lasting hours, more than enough time to be able to fix the memory of this splendid moment and tell the story of this couple. Thanks to the uncrowded sestriere and the spectacular light, we shot in total relaxation, without forcing and without haste, alternating moments of hilarity and complicity.
