Venice is for many the glossy panorama of postcards, palaces and its gondolas. But real Venice is that of the sestieri and the alley. From the great Piazza San Marco to the most hidden squares. As a couple photographer in Venice, I know very well the best and less crowded spots where you can take the most suggestive images. Let me take you to explore the most authentic and true city. Where and when?

As a professional couple photographer in Venice it is essential for me to know the less crowded routes and the quieter areas where I can take my shots. Of course there are locations that cannot be missed in a photo shoot in Venice. I list some of my favorite locations;

• Dorsoduro, with Punta della Dogana, offer spectacular views, especially at sunset.
• Rialto, with its bridge is a unique background in the world a stone’s throw from here, even the fish market is a characteristic place full of plays of light.
• Sestiere San Polo, with its narrow alleys and campielli that are always uncrowded. My favorite “Campo” in San Polo? S. Giacomo da l’Orio!
• San Marco, with its historic café Florian and the colonnade of the procuratie and Palazzo Ducale, timeless elegance and style. Be prepared with the evening dress.
• Castello, a still untouched and traditional area, A long walk to San Pietro in Castello, An island within an island
• If you want bright and colorful images, then your ideal location is the island of Burano.

To take advantage of the best light of the day, I always recommend the late afternoon and sunset light, to create fantastic backlighting and romantic and timeless atmospheres. If you want a deserted city, then you will have to prepare to see the sun rise behind San Marco and enjoy the atmosphere of the city that starts again.

The images will be delivered through a private and temporary web gallery from which it will be possible to select and download the agreed number of images. . Through the portal you will have the opportunity to purchase additional images, beautiful fine art prints, enlargements, you will find prices and information on formats and papers directly on your gallery.

Make up

You can do your own make-up for your walk or, if you wish, you can always have the assistance of a professional make-up artist

 

Couple photo in Venice – Boat session – The big Lagoon

Do you want to add a touch of uniqueness to your images and make them even more unique? You could choose a gondola tour to enjoy a different point of view of the city. The slow navigation and the tranquility of the canals make the experience extremely relaxing and romantic. Perfect for wedding proposal. As an engagement and proposal photographer I am always happy to to take the most romantic shots aboard a gondola, both through the most characteristic canals and with the most famous bridges, such as the Bridge of Sighs or the Rialto bridge.

If, on the other hand, you are an explorer and want to take pictures of one of the small islands of the lagoon, you could consider hiring a small classic Venetian boat, like the historic ones of Classic Boats Venice. The magic and charm of the islands of Venice, not only the best known, but also the wildest ones, can be an excellent location for beautiful couple photos. The ideal place or time for a wedding proposal or a special surprise. An alternative photo shoot, outside the usual schemes that will introduce you to Venice and its lagoon.
